  • Parts Needed to Add 7-Way to 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness
  • You already have a 4-way on your 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness so the only thing you need is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, breakers, and everything else required for installation. There are no plug and play options available so you will have to run some wires up to the cab (if you're adding a brake controller) and engine. If you're adding a 7-way so you can use a brake controller I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro...

  • Will EcoHitch or Curt Hitch Have Better Clearance for 2012 Subaru Outback
  • The information I have says the # 306-X7162 has a ground clearance measurement of 10-1/2". The Curt # C13410 has approximately 12" to 12-1/2" of clearance when measured to the bottom of the receiver. I'm not 100% sure how accurate the EcoHitch information is since we haven't measured it ourselves. Based on the installation and where the receiver position any difference in ground clearance appears to be negligible. The main difference between these two hitches is going to be the price....

  • Why Is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame So Much Easier to Install Than Other Hitches for a 2022 Subaru Outbac
  • That's because all of the other hitches for your vehicle is going to require you to fully remove your bumper, but the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT73RR only requires you lower the exhaust and trim the heat shield.

  • Wiring a 2021 Subaru Outback to Use a Wireless Brake Controller
  • To get both of the 2021 Subaru Outbacks pulling the Safari Condo F1743, you would need to purchase two of the # ETBC7 kits. They would piggy back off of the existing 4 pin connections already on the vehicles, so you are already partially there. I did include a link below to an install of the # ETBC7 on a 2011 Outback which will end up being almost identical to the install on your 2021 models.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2024 Subaru Outback Touring XT
  • Curtis, it does look like the only hitches offered for a 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon like # DT73RR are going to be class III hitches which are going to have 2" receivers. If it's an accessory you're trying to use that only works with a 1 1/4" hitch then you could just use the Trailer Hitch Reducer # e63YR and you'd be all set.

  • Can The Replacement Bent Towing Receiver SP325 Be Used On Other Bike Racks?
  • While it may technically be possible to fit the Replacement Bent Towing Receiver # SP325 to other racks, this is not something we recommend doing. The Replacement Bent Towing Receiver # SP325 is designed to only fit the Swagman Traveler XCS - Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack, which is now discontinued. If you attempt to use this with another bike rack, you are really getting into unknown territory, and we cannot say with certainty that the setup will be safe or secure. Using this part for any...

  • Wiring Adapter Needed For 4-Way on Subaru Outback to Pull Trailer Having 7-Way and Autowbrake
  • You are going to need our 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L to tow a camper having a 7-way behind your 2017 Subaru Outback with a 4-way flat connector. The Adapter # HM47365 you found does go the opposite way from what you need. The charge line included with our 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L will both charge the battery on the trailer and power the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001

  • Installing The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX3617 On A 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon
  • Hi Christopher, The hole in step 14 is needed simply for access to add in the nut plate for the lower bolt on the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX3617. You can just hold the baseplate up to the frame to draw line across the frame where that hole in the baseplate sits. The bolt going in there is 2" in length so you can measure from the outer edge of the baseplate over 2" and then drill your access hole.

  • Charger PD PD79RR for single 560ah lithium battery?
  • Your older PD9145C charger delivers 45 amps of DC charging power at 13.6 volts DC. (For AGM batteries) This converter/charger requires 725 watts of AC power to operate. It also needs to be on its own AC circuit. The Progressive Dynamics # PD79RR converter/charger delivers 60 amps of DC charging power at 14.6 volts DC. (14.6 volts for charging Lithium batteries) This converter/charger requires 1000 watts of AC power to operate. It also needs to be on its own AC circuit Two chargers can...

  • Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out! Yes, the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7601 for your 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon will work great with the Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack # TH83JV (9034XTR) that you referenced.

  • Can Rhino-Rack Backbone System Be Installed on a 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon
  • The Rhino-Rack Backbone Mounting System # RRRFRB1 is designed specifically for a Ford Ranger. The best system for your 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon is the Pioneer Platform Rack # RR77AB which comes with legs that will fit directly to the OEM rails on your vehicle. The Backbone system would require the removal of the factory raised rails on your Outback Wagon. Rhino-Rack tries to avoid making modifications that big for their installations which is why they don't have a Backbone system that...

  • Clamps to Install Surco Safari 5.0 Rack to 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon Raised Rails
  • Hey Zach, thanks for reaching out! Surco hasn't officially come out with a fit for your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon but the raised rails are similar throughout the years so you won't have any issues with the Clamp-On Adapters # SP1101 fitting your vehicle!

  • Can I Transport A Single 77 lb Bike Using The Kuat Nv 2.0 With A 60 lb Per Bike Capacity
  • Hello Jeffery, so the per bike weight limit for the Kuat NV 2.0 # BA22B is pretty strict at 60 lbs per bike. Meaning that the wheel tray assemblies are only rated for holding a 60 lb bike. I cannot recommend exceeding the 60 lb per bike limit, even when transporting only 1 bike. I am not saying that if you put a 61 lb bike on there that it will immediately fail, but exceeding the weight limit could cause non warranty damage to your rack, your bike, your vehicle and potentially endanger...

  • Will The Thule Motion XT Fit On A 2024 Subaru Outback XT With Factory Crossbars
  • The factory crossbars for a 2024 Subaru Outback XT are made by Thule and rated high enough for a roof top tent so they'll have enough capacity for the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629906. These crossbars clamp to the raised rails of the Outback so you'll easily be able to meet the crossbar spread requirements of the cargo box (spaced 23-5/8" to 36-7/8" apart). To determine if you'll still be able to open the rear hatch you'll need at least 55" from the front crossbar to the line...

  • Parts Needed to Install 7-Way and Brake Controller 2023 Subaru Wilderness Outback
  • The trailer you will be buying has a 7-way trailer wiring connector so to convert your 4-way to it you would want the part # 37185 unless the trailer has brakes that you need to control (most likely since it has a 7-way) then instead you'd want the part # ETBC7 with a brake controller. For a brake controller I would recommend the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED24FR and the install harness part # RED69FR. Unlike other controllers this puts only a small knob on the dash and has a proportional...

  • Can Yakima BigStack be Used for 40 lbs, 10-1/2 Long Kayak on 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon
  • The Yakima BigStack # Y04041 can definitely handle a 40 lb, 10-1/2' kayak on your 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon, and it can be loaded by one person provided that person can lift and maneuver the 40 lbs. If the 40 lb kayak is a little much for you to handle on your own you may want to look into a load assist carrier like the HandRoll # Y04082-2, ShowDown # Y04081, or a supplemental load assist like the Inno # INA453 or Rhino-Rack # RR-RUSL.

  • Will The Replacement Outer Arm Assembly Work For The Rola Convoy Bike Rack?
  • Hello John. The hook assembly for the Replacement Outer Arm Assembly # Y95KR is unfortunately not sold separately. This arm assembly is made specifically as a replacement for the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack so we cannot recommend using this for the discontinued Rola Convoy. Since replacement parts are not available for the Convoy, I would have to recommend a whole new rack. One like the aforementioned Yakima StageTwo # Y47VR would be a great option for a 2" hitch.

  • Can Malone Channel Loader Kayak Load Assist # MAL48FR Work with Oldtown PDL 106
  • Hey Bryan, the Malone Channel Loader Kayak Load Assist # MAL48FR has a 75 lb weight capacity and I did my best to look up the weight of your Oldtown PDL 106 and found it looks to weigh right around that but maybe a little less/more. But either way it's not going to fully support the weight of the kayak at any point so it will work just fine.
